Pretty sure they already have a building made of the stuff on site, so they should be taking all sort of inromation from that. But I think the testing is much more rigorous than simply performance, this is a building material for industrial spaces, so they need to see how it goes being cut up (cut a hole for ventilation etc) and walked on during construction, what happens when a forklift runs into it all those sorts of things as well.
They have done a lot of long run durability tests in the lab. 25-30 years I think they are comfortable with it lasting.
As for snow, G24i built a tent that went to Antarctica and worked there, so I don't think the cold is too much of a problem.
