Trust me - I do my own research and on stocks that I take good positions in I do very detailed research as well as have an open line to management to get to the next level of detail.
Yesterday - I was simply trying to narrow a list of four gold companies down to one to make a purchase. I have previously held Pru and am geenrally familiar with the story. The request was to help me make a quick decision on leverage to gold price and protection from a falling gold prices. You problem is you have made assumptions about my protency to research a stock which is wrong and furthermore add today that I prefer to go on chat forums than research.
When I re acquaint myself to a stock I always get views from Hc ( good and bad) as there are facts that simply do not pop out on the research. As an example if I wasn't following HC I would be unaware of the tax changes that may impact PRU and I would certainly not get that from reading their presnentations
Anyway - that is all from me on this as well. I have bought my goodie yesterday and I am happy with my decision
