L. I was going to post the latest EIA gas prices for the week ended Wed.12/7 but instead I will answer you question on likely prices using the latest EIA report. Firstly weekly prices across the board lost about 50c last week, the 50c they gained they previous week. Now I think its a now a good time to start focussing strictly on Rockies prices and forget about trying to feed into the reporting the HH prices-they,and their premium(if any) over Rockies prices, is really irrelevant except to see the affect Rex is having on Rockies producers. So here is the new focussed (for Mae holders) perspective. Rockies prices in Sept/Oct/Nov. are always going to be stink unless somebody increases the populations of Utah,Wyomong ,Colorado ten fold or Ruby starts up and the Opal gas can go in the opposite direction to where the Rex gas goes. There is just too much gas coming out of the Rockies in this period(I think they call it the crossover period when its not cold enough for consumers in the East/Northeast to pay winter prices nor is it hot enough there to produce a large demand for electricity producers to produce power for a.c. purposes). So we are looking at Rockies prices with a 3 in them (with the occasional 2 in them as was the case a day or so ago) until Dec. But be happy that it (probably) wont be 1s and 2s,thanks to Rex.Winter prices start in Dec/Jan - all the Jan.futures contracts have a margin over their Sept. counterpart of over $2 so Mae should be getting 3s for the next 3 or 4 months and 5s by January,at the latest. If it all seems to be another 6 months of the same from Mae as we wait for production to start there must nevertheless be quite a lot of potential,IMO, for the SP to surprise on the upside with the best well candidates being brought on stream first. At least,at last, everybody is focussing on production and getting Maid Marion ready for a decent test drive. I dont believe anybody was ever going to buy her without a decent long test drive no matter what might be under the ground.
