How would the financier feel if the MBO sought to banish the very man who got them to where they are in the first place?
This assumes external finance would be required - would it? CM are unlikely to be involved as they would like to exit iron ore so that leaves Regent funding the MBO. Have they got the funds to buy out CM at their required price?
Still a stalemate with CM having the blocking stake.
Therefore, with cash rolling in while this plays out, the options remain M&A and / or a modest dividend.
