Productivity Commission

Where did they get these PC commission "experts" from? On the banning trail commissions debate, they are totally out of touch with reality. In fact it is really more than just stupid, considering the resources they have. I think it is one of those cases of something looking right on paper, like removing everybody's tonsils did 60 years ago, but actually in effect being incredibly harmful. I think providing incentives to churn clients fits into that category.

As a share trader, I really don't care financially if they do ban commissions - happy to short the mortgage brokers. But I do need to call out stupid recommendations. I think the whole PC team need to be dismissed. The real world appears too complicated for them. There might be something they are good at - but providing useful opinions certainly isn't their thing.
