I have a question regarding the GDP numbers, that some-one here may be able to answer.
If GDP were to be weighted against population growth (GDP per capita) and inflation, would Australia's GDP, in fact, be in recession ? And, perhaps, has been so for a very long time ?
This point does not seem to be taken up the media, nor is this a new phenomena, but Australia has been becoming more non-productive since the 1950's. That is, in Australian companies there a more and more no-productive personnel being employed.
Welcome any comments.
Cheers!
