I agree with that - but, I would go one step further -
why, in the name of god would any westerner go to North Korea in the first place anyway????????????
what is it with this stupidity of humans to go to these completely crap and weird places - where at BEST we KNOW there is risk.
Gees, isn't there enough places that are 'reasonably' safe that give one a vastly different cultural experience????
I am afraid - all foreign travelers from anywhere take a risk going abroad - if you are out of your own country - there are going to be differences ------ end of story.
To me - to go to a place like NK or Syria during a war is just plain asking for trouble ------
really - if I have an opinion on it ----------------- it's the Darwinian principle working out beautifully.
