I wonder. The guards would actively train to maintain a stone face under all circumstances lest they and their families suffer a worse fate that an accused person in the dock. That said I can detect a fragment of moisture in the guard's right eye ... maybe a touch of a cold or pollen but who knows?

There will be more to this than what the MSM has been given to report. Warmbier would have been classified a "special prisoner" .... to be held for propaganda and political leverage purposes with the US. Something obviously went wrong .... whether from a beating in custody, self attempted hanging or medical problem (e.g. encephalitis) we my never know because the family (in their ignorance) did not reportedly want an autopsy. An autopsy is absolutely necessary settle the surrounding issues.

One thing for sure is that his guards and the responsible prison governor did not want Warmbier to die in custody because the consequences of a special prisoner death for themselves and their families would be severe. And so they kept him on life support for many months waiting for the first chance (it happened to be Rodman's visit) to get Warmbier out of there.
