The unproven accusation against Otto Warmbier was that he had taken one NK propaganda poster from the wall of a Hotel his tour group was staying at.
Is that you definition of "running amok"? If so, you maybe at risk of falling to the same level as commentators such as Katherine Dettwyler. Why? Because Dettwyler hoisted all the garbage from her own political wheelbarrow onto a case that has absolutely nothing to do with her crazy wheelbarrow. What has this case got to do with Dettwylers word mince on rape, WASP privilege or her perceptions of injustice within the US system. NOTHING!
Anyone who travels to NK without a diplomatic passport is a true idiot and an ignorant fool. But that's as far as it goes. The tour group company management knows the risks and are IMO culpable.
