Cheers HC and Tin, but no I don't agree it is pointless. I would stop if I thought it was. Difficult maybe, impossible almost, but not pointless, in my humble opinion.
We're not going to change the world here, by the way, but there's not a lot to be gained by preaching to the converted, so here is a really good place to have a red hot go.
And we can always filter out the worst offenders. :-)
