re: how to cook a magpie... 1. Fill a billy can with water.
2. Put three large rocks in the bottom.
3. Bring billy to boil, add salt, pepper, lemon juice.
4. Put the "plucked" magpie on top of the rocks and close lid...make sure bird is fully immersed.
5. Boil for 3 hours
6. Simmer for another 3 hours.
7. Discard remaining water.
8. Give Magpie to the dog.
9. Eat the rocks!
