1. It is very gracious of you to economise in your posting, by replying to two posts from two separate people, with one of yours. However, there is no need to do that. The system does not charge the website operator per post. I am sure that the institution for which you work would be duly impressed at your attitude toward economy.

3. I currently do not have any intention to have a career in academia. I love history, and did indeed at one stage of my life consider pursuing teaching as a career. I was however influenced by those who at the time felt that I would not be able to make a living as a teacher.
