    the same punters were applauding all the miners for the rise in metal prices....guess it never occured to them those same rises would impact on the cost of houses back home in oz....
    but they will use the same argument if house prices are falling world wide...then so be it for here....

    the twist is...what if our interest rates were like the rest of the world...down around 2-3% or less.....
    then buying a house for the average 300,000 would cost 6000 pa in interest payments.......wonder if they could afford that..or is it still out of the question..
