UOS have announced expected profit for the year (their financial year is calendar year) of $90m before tax and minorty interests. It's a little unclear what his will translate into for actual profit attributable to members after tax, but I expect somewhere around $55m based on past earnings. That equates to around $0.055 per share, giving a p/e of 5.8. Seems my ASX feed gets this consistently wrong as it's trying to auto calculate on some Aust FY figure.
Anyway - I'm looking to get a few more of these if they drop back to mid 20s - hard to buy though with almost continuous buy backs in place. I like their conservative forecasting, low dividend payout ratio, and management that have been there since the early Triassic.
Shame about the stong south pacific peso.
