I had some weekend fears on a RRT crippling Tropicana, then sanity prevailed:
* A RRT along the lines of PRRT would actually allow full recovery of CAPEX, plus some return on investment, before kicking in.
* Would also allow other exploration to be set against it.
* whereas a royalty get's paid from day 1
A RRT would actually take some cost and risk away from us (the royalty payments) in return for a greater long term share of the loot if the project is a success.
Furthermore I considered no government looking for re-election would bring in a tax on such harsh terms that it looked like killing the golden goose. Working it a little harder, yes.
A RRT could steal severely from Long/Moran if it didn't have some grandfathering or something though.
