The $1.1m loss in the manufacturing JV in the first half was significant.
Ivan is a very competent CFO and won't put out a final profit forecast for the year until all the unaudited accounts have been finalised.
It will be interesting to see if the JV loss was a, not reversible, cost overrun / pricing issue that has ongoing impact on VMT's profit.
I'm hoping it was an extraordinary event associated with the financial dispute between Super Soco and the JV associated with the cost of manufacturing all the SCI-FI prototypes for their China Expo in 2021. Charles certainly dodged a bullet by not rushing into a merger with them.
