Maybe this will help you understand. We have had a 20%+ decline in the AUD gold price, 40%-60% decline in the share price is fair imho.
I just created this image now using current data.
For us, that's the primary measure gold is valued against, so when it goes down gold goes up, when it goes up, gold goes down. Gold mining stocks are one of the most speculative assets there are and are at high risk with rising bond prices. Only bright spot on that front is it looks like it has gone parabolic and might come back down.
