    Thanks for your response to my query...but I still don't get it...how can they borrow shares from someone else ? do they do this through brokers ? my very limited understanding of trading is to buy low and sell higher.... obviously I am very naive (probably wrong spelling)
    Also how can anyone tell when this "short selling" is happening or about to happen ?
