It is a strategy for fairly inexperienced investors that does not make a lot of sense. I would suggest that those who have held AVL/YRR for quite some time (ie long-term holders) are probably not going to use that sort of strategy.
If you think this has quite a bit further to go, now is the time to buy, not sell.
If you think it does not have quite a bit further to go, you would sell the lot, not just your initial outlay.
If you are a noob with no idea, you can make up whatever you want.
