Selfwealth do make money from trades. As a % of their total revenue, trades fell relative to interest (as it is post-COVID and high cost of living, and interest rates rose driving up interest income), but it's still a contributor to the bottom line.


The current expense structure would not make sense if they made 0 interest revenue, meaning people needing to be fired. But then the whole brokerage industry would have to change quite drastically. Other brokers would add various other fees/revenue streams, and SWF would do the same.
