Those advocating a free market approach clearly miss the irony of Air New Zealand's part in Virgin. They would be a distant memory if they had not been bailed out by the NZ Government (who maintained a stake until recently). Etihad is Government owned and Singapore is majority Government owned.
Hardly a fair fight one would think.
