The main problem is the other airlines gaining 80% of Virgin and using that to push their own agenda.
Why would any sane company sign up to a strategy that included creating a 300+ million fighting fund, if they did not have a long term plan to dominate and profit from it?
The fact that these airlines are gaining this money off the back of their Government's involvement allowing them to get cheap loans and Qantas is now funding at 'junk' rates is further compounding the problem.
If the Government was to back their debt (like they did with the banks) I wonder what the next move for Virgin would be?
