Only a few days now till we find out... keep a very close eye on the flu as the winter lull has come to an end. All that media propaganda on swine flu "overspending" should be judged appropriately if their articles have results in swaying peoples decision to take a vaccine and die as a result. The FDA and appropriate bodies should go after these outlets with the same bravado as they go after companies selling drugs on misleading grounds. We're talking about the safety of humans!
If they want to point the finger on overspending, just look at the massive size of the public sectors around the developed world, or the spending on military, or the food dumping around the world etc etc. For the price of a cup of coffee a year, protection against a deadly pandemic is one of the cheapest insurance policies I've ever come across.... ever!
