The alternative to child labour is starvation. I have worked since I was 11. My father died and my mother could no keep a house with two children on David Jones female wage. I was cutting and weeding lawns on weekends with hand mower. After school week days I was helping local grocer with clean up. Gave all wages to mum so she can pay the bills. That how it was in Australia not so long ago. I see no solution to child labour if you need to work to survive. All do-gooders can do is sponsor a child. Put they money where they mouth is.
