I was thinking the same thing earlier pussinboots, but if enough shareholders want out, the merger wouldn't go through anyway would it?
If it gets voted through, surely that means that a large proportion of shareholders want to own shares in the new merged company. That in turn would mean that those who want cash would get most of it, if not all of it back.
