FSE just announced the re-run of their BFS will be completed in march 2013, and is set to give comfort to ESKOM re Coal Sales Agreement.
Thye claim that production will start in 2014, but without the outgoing rail upgrade, I dont see where they will sell the coal to.
The other players are Exxaro, Sasol and Anglo. Exxaro and Sasol are doing a JV but again difficult to see what they plan to do with the coal, although they are looking longer term, maybe 2018 start up.
Anglo have a Mining right in place and may start with a small scale operation, just to keep the MR alive. Obvious customer would be Anglo Platinum mines to the south, for use in smelters.
