GP, do you really expect any company to have to disclose every single thing that is happening on a hourly basis. Stop dreaming, this is the real world. Issues occur, it takes time to fully understand and plan remedial courses of action.
It seems you like an announcement like this "PLANT IS BROKEN, NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT"
Followed a week later by "PLANT STILL BROKEN, BUT WE KNOW WHAT IS WRONG AND HAVE BEGUN RECTIFYING THE SITUATION".
Imagine the hit the SP would take after the first announcement. How much would you and the other serial pessimists here berate mgmt for their disclosure practice if they did this. You only want continual updates if the news is good, you would go mental to have the same continual updates if they were bad.
Lets try and be rational and realistic. For once.
