Spent 1/2hr today talking to some farmers in town about the mistruths re CSG.Seems someone has convinced them that all the trees on their property will die if drilling occurs.
It's going to be an uphill battle.
As a hypothetical I asked one young fellow who works at the meatworks if he would like wells on his property if he earnt enough to give the meatworks job away? Thought about it for about 5 secs before deciding "too right".
Adequate payments to farmers once production licence comes through would make protestors redundant.
Most of them don't own enough country to cause a problem.
