    Wireline logs can be run to gather data of formation, depends what gear they have attached to the wireline. Usually resistivity (water oil), gamma possibly, data would be useful info for matching/calibrating seismic map, and potentially identifying oil/organics etc. is a bit hopefully.... But you never know ...
