Some are rehash of announcements, but nothing negative coming from Indo or Philippines...or from Mr West...

Sengkang cold boxes in lay down at Houston awaiting jetty finishing touches and dredging to be completed at Sengkang before loaded to ship. Technically correct that "...major equipment has shipped from our suppliers and is currently en route to Sengkang" - it's just that the cold boxes have not got very far :)

(It's a distance of about 350km due west of New Iberia - where they were manufactured - to Charts' storage facility at Houston)

Sengkang LNG Onstream in Q2 2013

Tuesday, 06 March 2012 08:55 Written by Ferdi Hasiman

SYDNEY, Indonesia Today - Energy World Corporation Ltd (ASX: EWC) expects the first modular LNG train within the Sengkang LNG Project, South Sulawesi to commence commercial production by the second quarter of 2013 and claimed to get strong interest from local and international buyers for the LNG product.

EWC has planned the project to have a production capacity of 2 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG and to combine four modular LNG trains. The project will allow EWC to exploit gas reserves and prospective resources in the Sengkang PSC in excess of the needs of EWC’s 95%-owned Sengkang Power Plant.

“We expect the remaining three modular LNG trains, subject to gas field development, to commence commercial production of LNG at quarterly intervals thereafter (after Q2 2013), providing a total LNG capacity for the Sengkang LNG Project of 2 mtpa,” the company said on its latest filing on Australia Securities Exchange.

EWC also claimed they have received expressions of strong interest from both domestic and international buyers for the LNG produced from the project.

“The current status of this project is that site works have commenced and major equipment has shipped from our suppliers and is currently en route to Sengkang,”

EWC controls 100% interest in the 2,925.2 km2 Sengkang PSC until October 2022. In the half year ended December 2011, EWC sold 6.67 billion cubic feet of gas (BCF), inched down 2.9% from 2010 half year period. ([email protected])

Kampung Baru Reserves Satisfy Sengkang Power Supply

Friday, 16 March 2012 11:41 Written by Hatman Bintang

SYDNEY, Indonesia Today - AWT International Pty Ltd confirms that the Kampung Baru field has adequate reserves to satisfy the contracted supply to the Sengkang power plant to the end of Sengkang PSC contract on October 2022, Energy World Corporation Ltd (EWC) confirmed.

According to EWC’s press statement, AWT has reclassified from reserves to contingent resources those gas volumes in the Kampung Baru field that exceed the requirements of the Sengkang power plant to the end of Sengkang PSC.

EWC is also building a 2 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG plant and will take the discovered gas from three gasfields within Kampung Baru: Walanga, Sampi Sampi and Bonge (Wasambo). The LNG plant is modular in design with increments of 0.5 mtpa.

The 0.5 mtpa of LNG production requires 140 billion cubic feet of gas over a five year period. The gas volumes within Wasambo, which put in a total of 248 BCF, are recognized sufficient to support five years of LNG production at 0.5 mtpa.

AWT also has reclassified Sallo Bullo area as among good prospects rather than as containing probable reserves. Sallo Bullo area is now among EWC’s priority targets for further seismic data acquisition to confirm the reservoir structure.

AWT also has provided guidance on the resource potential and chances of exploration success for the top seven leads and prospects within the Sengkang Contract Area. Most of the prospects could be drilled without additional seismic surveys further seismic data acquisition is recommended.

“This confirms our view that there is significant opportunity to develop discovered resources and to explore for and discover new gas resources within the Sengkang PSC,” the company said.

EWC has engaged AWT to undertake a review of the Sengkang PSC and provide a report on the latest reserves in Kampung Baru.

EWC controls 95% interest in the Sengkang power plant. All the gas to fuel the plant is supplied under a long-term gas supply arrangement from EWC’s 100% owned Sengkang PSC. In half year ended December 2011, the plant sold 770 GWh of power, increased 9.2% from 2010 half year period. ([email protected])

PLN, Energi Sengkang Agree on Tariff Hike

Tuesday, 13 March 2012 08:44 Written by Hatman Bintang

SYDNEY, Indonesia Today - State-owned electricity utility company, PT PLN, has clinched interim agreement with PT Energi Sengkang, a subsidiary of Energy World Corporation Ltd, which settles the price increment to the gas fuel supply for the 195MW Sengkang Power Plant.

The agreement was developed as a consequence of a gas price review undertaken by Indonesian Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources, who approved an increase in the gas price from the Sengkang PSC Block effective from 1 January 2011.

Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty Ltd, the operator of Sengkang PSC, is now in the process of amending its gas sales agreement with the relevant Indonesian governmental authorities to reflect the new pricing. Prior to finalization of such amendments, the increased gas price under the interim agreement applies.

The 195MW Sengkang Plant is claimed as the largest non-state-owned gas-fired power plant in Indonesia, with an aim to be expanded to 315MW by 2012. EWC has intended to expand another 120MW within the plant by establishing two new turbines within the plant and will completely enter commercial operation by the third quarter of 2012.

EWC controls 95% interest in the plant. All the gas to fuel the plant is supplied under a long-term gas supply arrangement from EWC’s 100% owned Sengkang PSC. In half year ended December 2011, the plant sold 770 GWh of power, increased 9.2% from 2010 half year period. ([email protected])

First liquified natural gas hub terminal to operate in Quezon

    Wednesday 11th of April 2012

PAGBILAO, Quezon, April 11 (PIA) -- The liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and storage facility in Barangay Polo in this town is expected to operate by the end of 2013.

According to Graham Elliot, project director of Energy World Corporation (EWC), within 18 months the natural gas terminal hub in Quezon Province will be operational. This is the first LNG hub terminal in the country.

“We plan to put up satellite receiving terminals in the country for easy reach and accessibility by industrial gas users,” Elliot said.

Deodennis Asistin, operation engineer of the LNG project said they constructed a 130,000 cubic-meter LNG storage tank, regasification facility, jetty and supporting infrastructure in two phases.

Asistin added that imported LNG will be sourced from the gas fields of EWC in Australia and Indonesia and will be stored in LNG storage tanks in Pagbilao and then distributed to their respective partners and consumers.

The LNG hub terminal will also be used to facilitate the distribution of natural gas to the gas turbine power plant. (CPG/JMG/PIA-Quezon)
