re: a bent sub Thanks Poyndexter & kashga. Yep, I can see what your describing.
As it is such a drawn out procedure to raise the drillstring would you suppose they will seek to achieve the deviation in the way you describe kashga and then by rotating the drill stem as well as running the turbine complete the hole now, or haul it all up, drop off the bent sub and lower it all down again to complete the drilling? (handling the jargon well I think).
I'll promise to ask no more questions if you answer this.
