I think their SEO is using spam techniques, but it's working...I was worried about it a couple years ago, but no obvious punishments since. Maybe their competitors do the same.
It looks very expensive to be bidding on position 1, which is normal for finance categories. I can't tell if it's efficient advertising, but they have years of data to back up the decision, so maybe they have reasonable bids.
Their top 'free searches' are brand searches (2/3 of their organic traffic), but there's some others.
The point of unpausing the advertising to me, is that it's a signal. 6 months of paused advertising meant is was due to troubles - cutting down originations strictly, and cutting marketing outflows. Unpausing means they're not so desperate to limit originations now.
I hit my daily limit of lookups, so can't check mobile/desktop.
