The purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate that a lesser TIG may be worth more than the lot which is a serious issue for the Board. But I guess "what ifs" are not your strongest point......eh?
If you "dont mean to discourage anyone" then you are doing a lousy job of it and by saying so I'm not encouraging a response.
