Cincinnati Red, you're spot on - The project it too big for the big boys to ignore. I fear that Xstrata will move at some point and I doubt they'd be happy with just a percentage of it - they'd probably take the lot.
As for hedging, I can see where you're coming from, but with my personal view on metals, I think any hedging would be detrimental for the company. But hey, that's for EQN management and the bankers to decide. Either way, EQN are going to be ridiculously profitable.
