Headcoach there was no competitors or recycling when the price was below $30. If it drops below $30 again which IMO it won't these new sources will not be there either. I don't know how many times you need to hear that the major reason for the price rise has been chinas quotas and cleaning honeydew buisness. They were in control of ree because they were pumping them out cheap and other countries could not compete. Lyc came along with an extrodernary deposit that was viable at $15 basket price. Well before china decided to clean it's act up. The increase in price and supply shortages have enabled other countries and technologies to become viable but we must remember lyc already was. Supply and demand will eventually meet but for the next 5 to 10 years IMO there will be inflated ree prices which lyc will take advantage of the most. Also the amount of ree used in application are so small that the price rise will have virtually no impact on there end product. This is why you are seeing governments like japan step in. They can throw 230 000 000 at lyc to bring stage 2 closer at that is just a drop on the ocean to them of more importance is reliable supply for there industry which is where the value is at.
