    Samsung and the other TV manufacturers have started charging up to 30% commission for tenancy of pre-loaded apps on their Smart TV ecosystems. They argue their TV ecosystem is not unlike a Play Store and they are trying to monetise their TV's beyond the simple sale of the Boxes to consumers.

    I sat through a discussion on this emerging trend at Broadcast Asia earlier this year.
