The patent submitted by Raytheon clearly infringes on Metal Storm's patent, and they would be foolish to try and enforce it. Metal Storm don't need to start court action to enforce it, at this stage there is no point, nothing can be gained from it.

If however, Raytheon do make tech, and try to enforce it, they will lose and Metal Storm gets money for free.

If Raytheon were serious they would have cited Metal Storms patent and competed directly with it, and we would be in court fighting this out right now. But they didn't because they know they would lose.

It's no biggie, it changes nothing in the short or long term.
