Goarmy did you miss that whole thing about not releasing the figures in the quarterly because it wasn't a true indication of the company's performance?
I don't understand why you keep on about the production cost issue at this point in time - we simply don't have the information to qualify the statements you are making... the $883/ounce figure you quote is a result of significant incident downtime. I wonder if you'll continue to ignore this fact.
You said, "...I wonder and wouldn't be at all surprised if their production costs /oz have gone up again since this last quarterly report was made...".
What do you base that statement on? I'm not saying that there will be a significant decrease, as we know the tailings dam stoppage cut into this quarter... but seeing as you don't seem to want to accept that as an impact perhaps your opinion is based on something else?
Management are putting their money where their mouths are regarding the rights issue. To me that says 2 things - firstly that they realise that the current SP is indicative of the sentiment towards the company and they need to (and are willing to) do all in their power to restore some confidence, and secondly that they actually believe the company will ultimately succeed. We're not talking chump change either. JL doesn't strike me as a person with more money than sense, so his injection of $300K combined with his intimate knowledge of the company shouldn't be dismissed as insignificant imo.
Perhaps you're just venting frustration... but if you honestly believe what you're saying I don't understand why you haven't pulled up stumps? What you're putting forward suggests the company can only go backwards... logic says you should cut your losses, no?
Cheers
