Chill I understand your concerns. I look at it this way. If u lined up 10 type 2 diabetics who became diabetics because of poor lifestyle choices and told them 3 of u (roughly 30%) will develop CKD (but we are unsure which 3) I'm not sure any would change their lifestyle because they probably would think its not going to happen to me. But if u lined up the same 10 people and told 3 of them u are 86 % sure they will have CKD within 4 yrs I'm sure they have a greater chance of change. IMO.
One of my questions is because diabetics are seen as high risk for CKD I would imagine most are already on preventative medication so will doctors order the piq blood test? I'm thinking yes but that is a guess.
