Also the vrfb estimates of 20 years, 20,000 cycles is more like food companies having to put a used by date on homey or peanut butter. The reality is these things can go much longer..
There are all sorts of different battery technologies being explored and probably always will be, as every company wants to find the next "IT" technology and make billions, but right now VRFB's have been proven in grid storage and are already being installed at a growing rate.
Fingers crossed it continues.. Even though we have a depressed V price, I have acrually read more than once that the scarce availability of vanadium supply chains could actually be a hinderance to vrfb mass uptake. To me that sounds strange, but If there is genuine projections of vrfb projects comtinueing to grow, the market will welcome new vamadium mines and companies might be willing to support peojects now while the market seems bleak and project plmetrics are not outstanding, to be in when the turnaround happens..
Who knows though, so hard to predict anything in this world at the moment or where anything will be in 5 to 10 years, let alone 1 or 2.
