Working out what is going on here has me intrigued.

The large utility firms and funds don't require this sort of gingering up. They are professional and will run their discounted cash flow calcs.

The promotional effort seems squarely targeted at retail.

This would suggest that the sale is not going well and stock is going to have to be dumped to retail.

How this will be done is beyond me right now but there appears little logic in the promotion otherwise.
