Think back to the effect Commonwealth Bank had on the share price with it's selldown, it was excruciating! We've just learnt that 5 million shares were disposed of and the market absorbed them all, no selldown as eager hands were waiting to buy them.

To my mind AVM is in a transition phase, she's effectively moved out of home. First Quantum, Philip Pascal and Peter Bradford were all integral to starting Anvil up but she's ready to stand on her own. As such they are severing ties that are no longer appropriate.

For those that don't remember or who weren't around then Peter Bradford was Anvils GM back when the Congo war was still raging. He identified Bogoso in Ghana as a gold play and sold the idea to Golden Star earning AVM a 20-30%(can't remember) free carry of the deal. GSC was so impressed with Bradford they made him their CEO. GSC later bought out AVMs share for approx $6 million which was an absolute godsend for this company and partially funded Dikilushi.

AVM is holding up admirably, now it can only go higher.
