Most people I've heard pronounce it K'lomiter with a silent first 'i' and a replaced 'i' for 'e' for the second.

I've also noticed a lot of other silent letters in words such as : Essedon (for Essendon).

Then there is the addition of letters such as Somethink (for something) and Nothink for (nothing).

For the vegetable challenged there is Capsicun instead of Capsicum.

    Plice instead of Police

Offten (sounding the 't') as opposed to Often (with a silent 't').

Oh the joys of the Inglish Langwitch.

    Cheers,
    Tan-grams
