I live up the coast from Syd & as much as the fuel price is hurting now, I don't mind. As it gets more expensive to freight stuff by road ppl will look at transporting by rail. How many semis = one train? Govt might throw some more $$$ at the existing rail system & it will thin out the endless stream of bloody trucks on the hwy. as well as big savings on emissions & less accidents.
