Yeah, 2 x 600 patient trials doesn't sound uber expensive, particular for a company of Teva's size. So, financially, they'd be saving lunch & dinner money if they decided to quit. On the other hand, they stand to gain handsomely by the relatively modest investment.
Having said all that, like other posters have said, sometimes companies, particularly large companies, do inexplicable things....
I'm placing a 15.75%* chance of Teva walking.
