re: 4 gyro gyro, your postings cover about all aspects of Zimbabwe and Mugabe. I guess everyone will pick out the pieces that suits their arguments and for me that was the reference to recurring drought, large rural population - 63%, agriculture 60% of GDP and explosive population growth.
The picture it paints of Mugabe is of an intelligent and articulate politican who put runs on the board early but has been overtaken by events as he tries to hang onto power, something we have seen happen in most countries. There was a time when politicians here saw Mugabe as the hope of independent Africa being able to move ahead away from it's tribal beginnings.
I still maintain that the primary problem in Zimbabwe is due to the recurring drought and unless that aspect is addressed first, any other action is not going to achieve anything.
