When I lived in Qld 3 years ago, it was already necessary to provide proof of who you were,
to buy products with codeine in them.
Just innovated here recently, and soon will be 'script' only.
For what it's worth, you can buy a 40 pak. over the counter,
every 5 days, (recommended dosage of max. of 8 tabs per day).
