The problem with the property market and I hope I dont sound to racist is that the government policy of only allowing the rich to enter this country means that they can afford to overpay and overbid for a home. I have been to at least 50 auctions in Melbourne in the last 3 months and only 5 out 50 we locals buying, the rest were overseas buyers who for one pay less tax than we do. Its disgraceful. The taxes we pay here are a joke and is not allowing the aussie battler to buy a home in their own country.
