HI Rab,
Property in my area has gone from $180,000 in 2000 to $650,000 and you cant rent anything under $600 per week with most 3 Bedrooms 1 Bathrooms renting for $1200 pw.
I was lucky i bought a few houses and some land about 3 years ago because you could see what was going to happen, but young people in this town have very little chance of buying there own home at these prices.
The mining boom has good and bad sides to it I Spose.
