10 years ago you could have bought a BASIC home in Perth for about $100K -$120K
average annual wage was about $40K
a similar BASIC home in Perth now is about $350K if you are real lucky
annual wage is about $55K
you do not need to possess great maths skills to work out there is a major problem in being able to afford a BASIC home
but fot hose how are having problems in this area
the movement means the same house is costing over 6 times the average annual salary when it was costing 3 times
the deposit needed assuming a minimum of 5% has gone from $6000 to $17500
the loan amonut has gone from around $100k to around $330K
